The Party: Slumberland Records 20th Anniversary Party / Show
Location: The Bell House (in Gowanus)
Total Party Count: 62
On Saturday night I attended the 20th Anniversary party of Slumberland Records, home to your favorite indiepop artists of today, the 90's, and 1989! Epic Slumberland bands such as The Aisler's Set, Black Tambourine, Rocketship, and Henry's Dress were my high school soundtrack to studying Gemara and eating a tuna salad in a bathroom stall. I failed Jewish Philosphy 3 times but I got an "A" in Indiepop!
Fast forward 10 years, my only homework is a party blog, my tuna salads are eaten in a full size bed, and my friends are in awesome bands signed to Slumberland! It was fun hang times with Crystal Stilts, The Pains, and Pants Yell! I got there too late for the other bands cause I was at the Mario Bros. party.
Well well well, if it isn't The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
She's dreamed of being on Slumberland since she was a little girl in Naw'lins.
Backstage with the magical Mike Schulman of Slumberland & Co.
Raise your hand if you like Indiepops!
